KREX offers energy wood chips and technological wood chips. These products are small pieces of wood formed by chipping of trees. Wood chips are used not only as biomass fuel, but also for chipboards and fiberboards production, manufacturing paper, and in gardening. Our experienced team guarantees a regular supply of wood raw material.
Technological wood chips
Technological wood chips are a leftover product after wood processing in the sawmill. They contain higher moisture than energy wood chips, a strictly defined fraction and high level of purity.
They can be used for many applications in different areas of the economy. It is more and more common to use them in the paper industry, where they are one of the main elements of pulp for the production of cardboard and paper. They are used to produce chipboards and fiberboards in the furniture industry. They can be applied as weed control, to keep moisture and for aeration of the soil. They can also be used in the food industry to produce smoked meat (alder and beech tree chips).

Energy wood chips
Energy wood chips is an ecologically appealing, renewable fuel, widely used in industry and agriculture. It is produced during mechanical shredding of wood. As a result of this process, small particles are formed (size/fraction less than 50mm). easy to use in boilers fired with wood biomass.
Tree cutting and sawmill industry are the two providers of raw material for energy wood chips. Our wood chips have a high calorific value. Forest wood chips
Biomass combustion is very popular because it is a renewable source of energy, and also it is characterised by a so-called zero CO2 balance. Forest chips are commonly used as fuel for automatic heating devices such as boilers in city heat plants, and combined heat and power plants.
